Koala Lou is a koala that thinks her mother does not lover her anymore because she quit saying it once Koala Lou got siblings. She sets out to train for the Bush Olympics and is competing in the tree climbing race. She wants to win so her mother will be proud of her and tell her that she loves her. I would use this in my classroom to show students that even if people don't tell others they love them it doesn't mean they don't. It also helps students realize they do not have to do something special for their parents to be proud of them.
